$SOL 【Ripple's $4-5 Billion Acquisition Proposal for Circle Rejected】According to Bloomberg, enterprise blockchain company Ripple recently made a $4-5 billion acquisition offer to stablecoin issuer Circle, but the latter rejected it. Circle believes that the valuation is insufficient to reflect its strategic position and growth potential in the cross-border payments sector.
The stablecoin USDC issued by Circle currently has a market capitalization of over $61 billion, making it the second-largest stablecoin globally. The company submitted its IPO application in April 2025 and achieved $1.67 billion in revenue in 2024. Circle's recently launched Circle Payments Network (CPN) aims to connect global financial institutions through USDC and other regulated stablecoins.
