Cryptocurrency prices fell during Monday's trading, as investors monitored developments in monetary and trade policy in the United States.

Bitcoin dropped by 0.95% to $94,653.91 at 09:14 AM Makkah time, holding approximately 63.7% of the total cryptocurrency market value.

The second largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, Ethereum, declined by 0.95% to $1,811.82, while Ripple fell by 0.45% to around $2.1729.

The global market capitalization of cryptocurrencies stands at $2.95 trillion, while the total trading volume over the past 24 hours reached $55.32 billion, an increase of 13%, according to "CoinMarketCap" data.

While cryptocurrencies strengthened their gains last week amid optimism surrounding potential trade negotiations between the United States and China, and strong institutional demand, the uncertainty regarding policy outlooks created downward pressures coinciding with profit-taking.
