Worldcoin is now legal in the U.S.
Even though itâs been banned in several countries for using eye scans to give out IDs, the U.S. has approved it. Now, U.S. citizens can get a WorldID and WLD tokens by scanning their eyes.
For now, you can only get a WorldID in these cities: Atlanta, Austin, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville, and San Francisco. But more cities will be added later.
Worldcoin also plans to partner with Visa to launch Worldcoin Visa cards. These cards will let you pay with WLD tokens anywhere Visa is accepted â just by using your WorldID.
Theyâve also teamed up with Match Group (which owns Tinder, Hinge, and Match.com). This will help users on dating apps prove theyâre real people using WorldID. The project will begin in Japan, and may expand globally later.
In gaming, Worldcoin is working with Razer to verify that gamers are real people. Soon, you may be able to get a WorldID at Razer stores.
Finally, betting platforms like Kalshi will allow users to place bets directly from the World App.
