Honestly, I don't understand how some people think that $XRP will reach $500. I don't know what they base it on or from what perspective they are doing their analysis.
Let's do a little simple math. The current market capitalization is $129.14 billion, and the circulating supply is 58.5 billion, which gives us the current price.
Now let's assume that the market capitalization doubles—which is already a stretch—and reaches $260 billion, and the entire supply is unlocked. Even then, the price would barely reach $2.60.
Now let's assume that the circulating supply remains the same (58.5B), and the market capitalization still reaches $260 billion. In that case, XRP would only reach $4.44.
Now let's counter the crowd of “$500” by entertaining a price target of $10. For that to happen with the full supply, XRP would need a market capitalization of $1 trillion, and the price would be around $10.001. Okay, now let's push further—let's keep the supply as it is and take the market capitalization to $1 trillion. Even then, XRP would only reach $17.09.
So again, on what basis do people believe that XRP will reach $500? Just by the word “adoption”?
And let's be realistic—$1 trillion market capitalization just for #XRP? When the total cryptocurrency market capitalization is around $3 trillion? That's not just unrealistic—it's absurd.
