The European Union has decided that anonymity in cryptocurrencies is excessive, so starting from July 1, 2027, new rules will be implemented. Monero, Zcash, Dash, and other currencies that prefer to hide are now listed as non-secure currencies. Any transaction exceeding 1000 euros will require a full 'Know Your Customer' process - that is, a passport, a personal photo with your cat, and perhaps your grandmother's favorite recipe.
