If some still think that European countries support Ukraine unconditionally,

they are probably missing an essential fact

that significant divergences are emerging within the European Union.

Hungary has already expressed its opposition several times.

This time, it has clearly identified a topic for debate within the EU:

should a common debt be contracted to continue financing Ukraine?

This is not about a few hundred million or tens of billions,

but about funds intended to maintain an army of a million men,

with all the long-term expenses that this entails: equipment, training, operational maintenance.

Orbán's response is straightforward:

this money should be invested in the development of Europe itself,

to stabilize employment, reduce inflation, and modernize infrastructure.

And yet, we find ourselves financing an endless conflict.
