The European Union has approved a regulation that will prohibit privacy cryptocurrencies such as Monero, Zcash, and Dash starting from July 1, 2027. This measure, part of the new Anti-Money Laundering Regulation (AMLR), aims to combat illicit activities and increase transparency in the crypto sector. Anonymous accounts will be eliminated, and identity verification will be required for transactions over 1,000 euros. Additionally, crypto service providers will be under direct supervision of the new AMLA Authority. #EUPrivacyCoinBan brand begins.
