I just saw that story again about the janitor who worked at a school for 40 years, earned less than $45K a year, invested in dividend stocks, reinvested everything, and died with over $8 million then donated it all after his death.

Honestly, I don’t find this inspirational at all

Here’s my personal take:

Yes, he was disciplined.

But he denied himself a better life while alive.

He worked hard, saved smart, but never lived.

He could’ve used part of that wealth to:

Upgrade his lifestyle (food, comfort, travel)

Help others in real-time

Create impact while alive and witness the results

Retire early and enjoy the time freedom he earned

Teach others how he did it imagine the ripple effect!

Instead, he kept scrubbing floors till old age, never spent a cent, and donated it all after death.

What’s the point of having $8M if it’s just going to the grave with you?

Money is a tool not a trophy.

We should aim to use it to live better, help others, and multiply impact, not just die with a big number in the bank.

Just my 2 cents but I’d love to hear what you all think too.
