Live with more grit! Don't be crushed by the opinions of others

Never feel inferior, and never feel like you are worse than others. How much money someone has or doesn't have actually has nothing to do with you.

Many people have a strong sense of servitude; when they see someone more accomplished, or even some pretentious people, their courage suddenly turns timid. Little do they know, many people are just putting on a facade; they are like dung beetles, shiny on the outside.

To judge whether someone has substance, don’t look at what they wear, what they drive, or what they eat, but rather look at their circle of friends. If someone’s social circle is very high-class, 90% of the time that person has substance. If a person is left with only their attire and a so-called luxury car, that is just for show; they are emptier inside than they appear.

You have no need to feel inferior; you are always yourself.

Never care about what others think of you, remember it's anyone:

Especially those who are neither close nor familiar, many people are just trying to suppress you, deliberately looking down on you, making you unhappy, or criticizing you out of jealousy. Remember, all of this only adds fuel to your mental exhaustion, so if you take these people seriously, you care too much about them and you will lose to them.

The sage Wang Yangming* pointed this out long ago, explaining how to control emotions. The answer is simple: don’t take emotions too seriously. If you care too much about what others think of you, if you care too much about this person, you will surely fail, trapped inside.

Remember, in this world, apart from life and death, everything else is trivial, even a scrape doesn't count. You can never satisfy everyone; the worst aspect of human nature is that they cannot stand to see you doing better than others.
