How Do I Stay SAFU?

Scams are getting smarter, but so are we.

Here’s how I protect myself during airdrop season:

Red Flags I Look For:

• Poor grammar or vague tokenomics on the website

• No team transparency or fake LinkedIn profiles

• Contracts asking for suspicious token approvals

• Pressure tactics like “Claim in 5 minutes or lose it!”

How I Verify Legitimacy:

• I use tools like Etherscan/BSCScan to check contract age & token holders

• Cross-check with trusted communities (Telegram, Discord, Twitter)

• If it’s not talked about by reliable sources, I don’t touch it

Scam Tactics I’ve Seen:

• Airdrops that auto-appear in your wallet and bait you to connect

• Impersonator projects with almost identical names and logos

• Fake “revoke” sites that are actually wallet drainers

One I Avoided:

Skipped a “ShibaX” airdrop that looked real — but the approval led to a malicious contract. Found no team info, and the token didn’t exist on BSCScan.

Stay sharp, double-check everything. The free tokens aren’t worth your whole wallet.
