*** Trade should not be a weapon ***
Warren Buffett, the American investor and chairman of the holding company Berkshire Hathaway, indirectly criticized the approach of US President Donald Trump to tariff policy on Saturday.
According to him, the head of the United States is making a big mistake by hindering global trade.
"International trade should not be a weapon," the 94-year-old Buffett said, according to CNBC, at the annual Berkshire Hathaway shareholders meeting.
At the conference, Buffett also indirectly criticized Trump's protectionist policy and the effort to prioritize America above everything else, even at the expense of good relationships.
"In my opinion, it's a big mistake when on one side you have seven and a half billion people who don't like you very much, and on the other, 300 million who constantly boast about how well they do everything," Buffett believes. "I think it's neither right nor wise."
