Scammers are running fake cryptocurrency exchange websites that look exactly like real ones. These sites show coins like Solana at much higher prices than the actual market rate. For example, if Solana is $148 in reality, the fake site shows it trading at $170. This makes people think they can transfer their Solana to the fake site and sell it for a quick profit. When someone sends a small amount first, the site allows the withdrawal to build trust.

Once the user gains confidence and deposits a larger amount, the scam begins. The fake site blocks the withdrawal and asks for extra money, claiming it’s for “security” or “account verification.” Even after paying that, the withdrawal never happens, and the user loses everything. Be careful — more than 70% of people fall for this trap. Always verify the exchange’s authenticity before making any transactions. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.
