**Pi Network Expands Mainnet Ecosystem Accessibility with New Wallet Activation Features
The Pi Network has introduced groundbreaking updates to enhance accessibility to the Pi Mainnet ecosystem, enabling more Pioneers—and even non-users—to participate seamlessly. These innovations include **Mainnet Wallet Activation** for verified Pioneers and a **simplified onboarding process** for newcomers via third-party services.
### **Mainnet Wallet Activation for Pioneers**
Identity-verified Pioneers, including those who are **fully KYC’d** or **tentatively KYC’d**, can now activate their wallets on the Pi Mainnet blockchain. This milestone unlocks their ability to engage fully with the ecosystem, from transacting Pi to participating in apps, local commerce, and events like the **.pi Domain Auction**.
While Mainnet migrations continue, this feature decouples wallet activation from the migration process, allowing millions to interact with Mainnet utilities sooner. The network remains committed to completing migrations securely, ensuring fair Pi distribution to genuine Pioneers.
### **Simplified Onboarding for Non-Users**
For the first time, **non-Pi users** can join the Mainnet ecosystem without mining or lengthy onboarding steps. Through KYB-verified third-party services(currently in beta), newcomers can:
- Pass streamlined KYC requirements.
- Obtain a Mainnet wallet instantly.
- Purchase starter Pi to begin transacting.
This reduces barriers for non-users, who previously had to mine for 30 sessions, pass KYC, and await migration. Now, they can directly contribute to Pi’s economy—unlike exchange users who don’t hold Pi on the blockchain.
Beta Testing and Future Scaling
The first integrated third-party service (an onramp) is live in select regions, with geolocation restrictions. As a beta, it may require adjustments to handle Pi’s global scale. Pioneers are encouraged to provide feedback via official channels. Other onramps are invited to apply for KYB verification to expand accessibility further.
