When will Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies be 'useful and accessible'?

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) -- Tim Cook, the CEO of 'Apple', the world's largest company by market value, announced that he owns cryptocurrency and said at the DealBook Summit organized by The New York Times, 'I don't want anyone to put me in a specific box, I personally am interested in it.'

Cook did not specify which cryptocurrency he owns and said, 'I think it makes sense to hold cryptocurrency as part of a diversified portfolio... It has started to pique my interest for some time now.'

He added that there are no plans in the near future for cryptocurrency to become an accepted means of purchasing 'Apple' products. He said the company will not invest in it.

Cook declined to comment on rumors about 'Apple' making a car and said, 'We try not to elaborate on discussing the future.'
