🚨Key lawmakers of House Republicans
will soon release a new draft law to regulate digital assets before a big hearing on May 6. The hearing will focus on creating clear rules for the crypto market in the U.S.
The draft is similar to a law that passed in the House last year. Both House and Senate committees are working on bills about stablecoins and crypto rules. President Trump wants a stablecoin law by August, but some worry that his involvement on crypto projects (TRUMP, MELANIA and his recently launched stablecoin, USD1) could make agreement harder.
Most efforts are led by Republicans, who need Democrats' support to pass the laws. Some Democrats agree on good crypto rules, but Trump's involvement might make it more difficult to find common ground.
