Bitcoin Breaks $97K Amid Institutional Momentum and U.S. Policy Shifts
Bitcoin ($BTC) has surged past $97,000, bouncing back strongly from its April low of $74,500. This impressive rally is being fueled by rising institutional demand, recent pro-crypto shifts in U.S. regulation, and the launch of a strategic national Bitcoin reserve.
Standard Chartered now forecasts Bitcoin could reach $120,000 by Q2 2025, with a potential upside to $200,000 by year-end. Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) also reported a massive $4.1 billion profit in Q1 and has raised its 2025 BTC acquisition target to $15 billion.
While markets initially shrugged off President Trump's executive order to establish a national Bitcoin reserve, analysts believe it could drive long-term adoption. Still, some investors are holding back, waiting for clearer rules around stablecoins and crypto ETFs before making major moves.
