🗣EU to Ban Anonymous Cryptocurrencies Starting in 2027
🟡The European Union has approved new anti-money laundering (AML) rules that will ban exchanges, wallets, and crypto services from dealing with privacy coins like Monero (XMR) and Zcash (ZEC) starting in 2027.
🟡The new regulations also prohibit crypto service providers from offering transaction anonymization tools. Additionally, all crypto transfers over €1,000 will require KYC verification.
🟡The ban applies to all services regulated under the MiCA framework.
