Barakat, a major wildfire has erupted in Israel, with blazes in the Jerusalem forests already consuming 5,000 hectares. Authorities report that dozens have been injured, primarily from smoke inhalation, though only 10 patients have been released from hospitals. Nearby areas have been evacuated, and key roads between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv are now closed. Strong winds reaching 60 kilometers per hour are making it difficult for firefighters to control the flames. Israel has detained 18 individuals suspected of involvement in starting the fires.
