I have finally linked my Hong Kong card (Bank of China) to WeChat. Now I can pay directly with Hong Kong dollars according to the real-time exchange rate. The key is that it does not take up the annual quota of 50,000 U. Especially for those who work in blockchain, I can transfer U to Victory Securities, convert it into Hong Kong dollars, withdraw it to my Hong Kong card, and spend it on WeChat. This closed loop is now operational.

In the previous live broadcast on the social media, I talked about how to register for Victory Securities. I think many friends have registered before. If you haven’t registered yet, I suggest you register one as a backup. Next time I will write a registration tutorial for everyone.

Next, let’s talk about how to use a Hong Kong card (Bank of China) with Hong Kong dollars in mainland China. There are actually several options.

1. When applying for a Bank of China Hong Kong Card, you should also apply for a physical card so that you can use it in mainland China, such as withdrawing cash at an ATM (it is recommended to use a Bank of China ATM) or swiping the card at a POS machine.

Second, if you apply for a Bank of China Hong Kong card at the counter, you can request to activate the BoC Pay+ function. This APP can directly receive and pay in mainland China, which is very convenient.

3. As I said, bind the Bank of China Hong Kong Card to your frequently used WeChat account, and you can directly receive and pay, recharge, etc.

The tutorial is as follows:

1. In the WeChat search box, search: Tencent Customer Service, follow and send Hong Kong Wallet, then click [>>Click here<<] to enter, bind a bank account issued in Hong Kong, select Bank of China (Hong Kong), enter your name and surname (pinyin), and finally enter the account number (8-digit pure numeric account) and password to successfully open it.

2. The funds in the WeChat balance account in mainland China and the WeChat balance account in Hong Kong are separate, so when you want to use the WeChat balance in Hong Kong, you need to switch to Hong Kong, China first.

3. The funds in the WeChat balance account in Hong Kong and the Bank of China account in Hong Kong are also separate. You need to click on the balance recharge in the middle first, and the funds in the Bank of China account in Hong Kong will be directly recharged in seconds, so you can use it happily.

So if you don’t have a Hong Kong card yet, you must find time to open one. Generally, when going to Hong Kong, it is recommended to open ZhongAn, Bank of China, and HSBC. I have also written about some of the preparatory work before, you can take a look if you need it.
