On April 24th, Thursday, I was attending a football class in the afternoon. Suddenly, two police cars arrived, three police officers took me away directly, and everyone on the field was watching me. I was confused and followed the police. After arriving at the police station, the officers asked me to voluntarily confess issues. My mind went blank, and I said I was recently doing labor brokerage, helping classmates find part-time jobs. The police asked if I had sent female classmates' photos to others or introduced them to someone. I realized that I had recently met a second-generation wealthy individual on Douyin, whose family is from Zhejiang but works in Henan. We added each other on WeChat and chatted for a few days after finding out we had some common hobbies. His Moments and Douyin were filled with daily life, clearly showing he was wealthy. During the conversation, he mentioned that he recently lost more than ten million in Macau and that his friends were also involved in gambling in Southeast Asia, unable to return. He needed someone like me, who wanted to make money but had no money, because I could provide them with Alipay and bank cards, which was actually money laundering. I ignored him. He said he worked at his father's company, using company loans to cover his losses, and was slowly paying it back. He found work boring and had no way to meet female college students, wanting me to introduce him to some because I was from Zhengzhou, Henan, where he worked. I told him that if he was so wealthy, he could just drive his sports car around the school gate, and a bunch of girls would surround him. He said he was too lazy to do that, it was too troublesome, and he just wanted to support a female college student, asking me to introduce one and promising to pay me for it. I told him I was studying in Tianjin and couldn't help him introduce someone, but I could introduce friends from my hometown when I returned. He insisted that he wanted to do it soon because he was bored. I then went on Douyin and took a few screenshots of some girls, thinking that even if I couldn't introduce anyone, at least I could help him, just in case it was useful later, but he saw through it. He said, 'Brother, we've known each other for so long, you're being too insincere.' Since I had revealed my school during our voice calls, I took screenshots from Douyin's school confession wall of a few girls. He was interested in one and asked me to contact her, but I didn't have her contact information and couldn't bring myself to talk to her. I finally told him that the girl wasn't interested, but he kept pressing me about whether I had contacted her, and he got angry, venting his frustration. I didn't talk to him for a few days. A few days later, he asked me if the BTC tokens were available, as his friends wanted to buy them. I had mentioned during our calls that I was learning about cryptocurrency trading, and during the Spring Festival, I had received over 700 fake BTC coins through a big brother on a cryptocurrency website, which had no liquidity and were locked. He said it didn't matter, they could be used for verification. He then wanted me to help him collect 100,000, asking me to transfer a token on Binance to see. I transferred it, and he said it was useless, fake coins. He thought it was dirty money, which was locked, and he could have his friends in Southeast Asia launder it for verification. We spent the whole morning on this, and in the end, we parted on bad terms and didn't contact each other again. But when I got to the police station, I found out that he reported me because I hadn't helped him complete his business. He found my classmates through Douyin, messaged them, harassed them, and betrayed me, saying I had introduced them to him and spoke poorly about me to the girls. In the end, those girls reported me to the police because I did labor brokerage at school, and they recognized me, so the police found me. The girls demanded an apology and financial compensation, and I ended up paying 1,500, resolving the matter. The police contacted my instructor, who informed my parents, and they all found out about this incident. From around 4 PM until 11 PM, my instructor took me home and educated me, and my mom was worried all day, lecturing me. Since I held a position at school and was a class committee member, the leaders and teachers recognized me, and in the end, the school didn't punish me.
I've reflected on these past few days, realizing that it was my greed that led me to think there was profit to be made. Even though I was cautious, my greed allowed me to overlook many of his flaws, making me a pawn in his game. In the end, I gained nothing, ended up in a police station, paid 1,500, and my classmates found out that I was taken away by the police. I no longer do labor work and have lost credibility; rumors are spreading in school because I have a group of 500 members, all involved in part-time jobs. Originally, I was helping many people find part-time jobs during the May Day holiday, earning over a thousand, but after this incident, I let my friends take responsibility. My teachers and family don't want me to engage in virtual currency anymore or do brokerage work, urging me to focus on my studies and not to stir up trouble. However, I don’t trade cryptocurrencies; I usually just participate in lottery draws and learn from the experiences shared in communities to broaden my horizons. Moreover, labor brokerage allowed me to earn my living expenses with little need to ask my family for money. Many of the part-time jobs I arranged failed because I didn't follow up, resulting in me losing a lot of money on behalf of the clients, which I had to ask my family for. Initially, I planned not to go anywhere during the May Day holiday and arranged for them to work part-time. After the incident, my mom and instructor advised me to go home and take some time to adjust. My mom bought me a ticket, my dad returned home from Fujian, and my sister came back from Beijing; they are all home waiting for me, and I am currently on the train.
I feel very confused and don't know what to do next...
