💥The Dutch digital bank “Bunq” 🇳🇱 has launched its cryptocurrency trading platform in six European countries, putting it in direct competition with “Revolut”.
🎯The new service, “Bunq Crypto”, allows the bank's users in Ireland, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Italy, and Belgium to trade over 300 cryptocurrencies through their banking app.
🎖️The CEO stated that the goal is to provide a unified platform for saving, spending, and investing, including digital assets, adding that this expansion came in response to user demand for a simplified and secure banking experience.
🌀The service was developed in partnership with “Kraken”.
💰Research by “Bunq” revealed that 65% of Europeans prefer to integrate cryptocurrencies with traditional banking services in one app, while more than half expressed interest in crypto, but consider current platforms complicated or unreliable.
🎯Expansion into the United States is the next phase, as “Bunq” has submitted an application to register as a financial brokerage there, allowing it to offer its services except for savings accounts.
🏦This move is part of a broader strategy to build an integrated financial platform targeting both retail users and digital nomads.
