โธ At the LONGITUDE conference in Dubai (May 1, 2025), crypto leaders gave a serious warning: Big investors may soon push Bitcoin out of reach for regular people.
โธ Sergej Kunz, co-founder of 1inch, said:
โRetail investors should try to own at least 1 BTC now โ soon they wonโt be able to.โ
โธ Yat Siu (Animoca Brands) explained that Bitcoinโs popularity with institutions is rising because it helps protect against inflation and global risks.
โธ With only 21 million BTC ever available, rising demand from big players means fewer coins left for small investors.

โธ In April 2025 alone, over $3 billion flowed into Bitcoin ETFs, helped by fears about the U.S. dollar and global economic tension.
โธ Hereโs who owns a large chunk of BTC now:
Institutions via ETFs & funds: $128B
Corporate treasuries (like companies): $73B
Governments (U.S., China, UK): $130B+ (mainly seized)
โธ This reduces the amount of BTC available for sale, causing prices to rise.

โธ Some analysts now expect BTC to hit $200K in 2025 and $1 million by 2029 โ especially if ETFs and governments keep buying.
โธ This could shut out small investors, who canโt compete with big funds.
โธ Sergej Kunz even warned that if the U.S. builds a Bitcoin reserve, it may become harder for smaller countries and people to get any BTC at all.

โธ If Bitcoin turns into a "global reserve asset", like gold or a world currency, it confirms its value...
โธ But it may leave out the small buyers who helped build Bitcoin early on.
โธ Many users on X (formerly Twitter) are already worried about being priced out.

โธ The panel at LONGITUDE made it clear:
Retail investors may need to act fast before Bitcoin gets too expensive due to growing institutional demand.
