Airdrops may seem like "free money," but in reality, they often hide traps. I once suddenly discovered a transfer of an unfamiliar token in my Binance wallet, which seemed like a "benefit from an airdrop," but was actually a phishing tactic designed to lure you into clicking to view or authorize. These fake tokens are usually not tradable, and the underlying contract may secretly contain permissions to steal assets.
Common signs of scams include: unsolicited airdrops, unknown token names, inability to find the project's official website or community, and being lured into visiting a certain link to "claim" something.
My approach is: never click on unfamiliar tokens, use a block explorer to verify whether the token contract is legitimate, and do not authorize any unknown contracts. It is especially important to regularly check the authorization records of your wallet and promptly revoke any suspicious authorizations.
