💥Eric Trump, the second son of US President Donald Trump, said that the US dollar stablecoin (USD1) issued by World Liberty Financial has been officially selected as the official stablecoin to complete MGX's $2 billion investment in Binance.
At the Token2049 event held in Dubai, Trump said: "We thank MGX and Binance for their trust in us, and I think this is just the beginning."
Earlier this year, Abu Dhabi-based investment company MGX announced that it would invest $2 billion to buy shares in Binance.
💥Anthony Pompliano, a well-known cryptocurrency investor, has filed for a $200 million IPO through a SPAC called ProCap Acquisition Corp. The SPAC aims to target high-growth companies in the fintech and digital asset sectors.
Pompliano, a former product executive at Facebook and former co-founder of Morgan Creek Digital, now runs Professional Capital Management. ProCap's management team includes professionals with backgrounds in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, and digital asset compliance.
💥Canary Capital filed an S-1 registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, planning to manage what could become the first spot SEI ETF in the U.S., and the fund includes a pledge element. The proposed fund is designed to provide investors with direct exposure to the price of the Sei network's native cryptocurrency, SEI, and the assets will be managed by BitGo and Coinbase. The trust plans to pledge part of its assets through one or more infrastructure providers, which may bring additional returns to investors. In addition, the fund will handle the creation and redemption of shares in cash, similar to the existing spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF structures in the United States.
