The Twitter Account of the Rising Popular Altcoin has been Hacked: Beware!

The Twitter account of the popular futures trading platform Hyperliquid has been hacked due to an insider threat; investors are warned against phishing attempts.

The official Twitter account of Hyperliquid, a decentralized futures exchange that has recently gained popularity in the crypto market and whose trading volume is rapidly increasing, was hacked despite two-factor authentication (2FA).

One of the reliable sources on Twitter, @ThinkingUSD, reported that the account takeover was caused by an internal threat from a Twitter (now known as X) employee. This situation poses serious security risks for all crypto investors regarding announcements made through social media accounts.

As traders face an increased risk of losses due to fake announcements and phishing attempts, experts emphasize that no links outside official channels should be clicked and extra caution should be exercised. In particular, there may be short-term fluctuations in the prices of tokens associated with Hyperliquid, and it is critically important for investors to follow verified information.
