Tether plans to launch a stablecoin in the USA this year.

The flagship stablecoin Tether, USDt, is already the main 'exporter' of the US dollar, Ardoino told CNBC. According to CoinGecko, its market capitalization is nearly 150 billion dollars.

According to Nansen, a Web3 researcher, as of April 25, USDt's market share in stablecoins was about 66%.

Tether is also the most profitable stablecoin issuer, achieving a net profit of nearly 14 billion dollars in 2024.
