🤔💰 You probably also receive notifications from Binance about login to your account and each time the IP address or city of the login concerns you 😱

Me too... $BTC

Typically, messages show a list of devices that had access to your Binance account

This message is usually not alarming if you used these devices yourself.

However:

• If any of the devices looks unfamiliar or suspicious, press the 'Log Out' button next to it.

• If all devices are known to you, there’s no need to worry — it’s just informing about active sessions.

For security, I recommend:

• Check if two-factor authentication (2FA) is enabled.

• Regularly change your password and do not use the same one for different services.

😵 But sometimes, the geolocation indicated in such messages raises our concerns.

🤔 Geolocation in this list is based not on GPS, but on IP address, and it is often inaccurate. For example, the operator may show 'Lviv' even if you are physically in another city — that’s how IP-based geolocation works through databases that are not always up to date.

⚠️ How to check your IP address on Android:

Method 1️⃣: Through the browser

• Open the browser (Chrome or another).

• Go to the website whatismyipaddress.com or ipinfo.io.

• There you will see immediately:

• Your current IP address.

• Defined location by IP (which may be conditional).

Method 2️⃣: Through Wi-Fi settings

• Open Settings > Wi-Fi.

• Click on the connected network (SSID).

• Scroll down — you will see the IP address (internal local, like 192.168...).

• This is not an external IP, but only local (within your home network).

⚠️Conclusion:

✅️ Sometimes the geolocation in Binance is simply a geographical error or conditional determination by IP.

✅️ If the devices in the list are familiar to you — everything is fine.

Now regarding:

▪️discrepancies with Binance —

this is normal because:

this IP address may change

each time you reconnect to

mobile Internet or Wi-Fi (especially if it’s a dynamic address, as is the case for most users).

▪️ Binance records the IP at the moment

login, not current,

▪️ Different services may

use different databases

geolocation of the IP, so

city determination may

may differ.

For example, if you have today

1R 123.45.67.33, a Binance

saved in history 46.211.26.222

this may be the same

provider, but another session or

another network (mobile

internet vs Wi-Fi)

⚠️ IP addresses belong to different communication operators and, according to geolocation databases, are tied to different locations.

Why this happens:

• Mobile operators, such as Kyivstar, for example, often use shared IP addresses for a large number of users.

• Geolocation databases are not always updated in a timely manner, so they may show inaccurate locations.

• Using a VPN or proxy can also affect the determination of location by IP.

🤔 What to do:

• Don’t worry if you see a location in Binance that doesn’t match your actual one.

• If you want to check your current location by IP, you can use reliable services such as:

• ipinfo.io

• whatismyipaddress.com

• tools.keycdn.com/geo

🧠 One message from Binance with IP and conditional city is not enough to say with 100% certainty: this was definitely you logging in or not.

However, you can approach certainty by analyzing these parameters:

✅️ Device name

The message shows which device was used for the login (for example, SM-S346B5 or Chrome on Android).

If you recognize the device — it was almost certainly your login.

✅️ Date and time of login

Think about whether you were using Binance at that time.

If the date and time match your actions — it was probably you.

✅️ IP address and city

This is the least accurate parameter, as it may depend on the mobile operator or change.

You should not rely solely on geolocation by IP.

✅️ Notification by email or in the app

When there is a login from a new device, Binance usually sends a notification to the email or in the app.

Check your email — it may indicate that there was a new login.

✅️ Own check through Binance:

You can view the login history (all dates, IPs, and devices) like this:

• Go to the Binance app or website.

• Go to: 'Security' > 'Device Management' or 'Account Activity'.

• Check all logins and press 'Log Out' from all unfamiliar devices if you have doubts.

⚠️ Summary:

You cannot always say 'this was definitely me' just by IP and city, but if the device and time match — it gives almost complete certainty.
