📢 A major upgrade for cross-chain interaction is here! The ERC-7828 and ERC-7930 standards are about to be finalized!!!
Ethereum developers are advancing two new proposals: ERC-7828 (Human-Readable Addresses) and ERC-7930 (Chain-Level Address Identification Format), aimed at solving a long-standing issue that has plagued users for years — the problem of "the address is correct, but the chain is wrong" leading to asset loss.
👀 ERC-7828: Making addresses as simple as "[email protected]", saying goodbye to a long string of gibberish starting with 0x.
🤖 ERC-7930: Providing a standardized format for machines to more securely identify which chain the assets are on.
📅 The two standards are expected to be finalized on May 9, and will soon be integrated into major wallets, browsers, and cross-chain protocols. The Wonderland team stated that this will greatly enhance the readability, security, and convenience of users during cross-chain transactions.
🔍 Benefits:
Reduce the cost of user operation errors and minimize asset mis-transfers.
Enhance the usability of wallet products and cross-chain protocols.
Expected to promote a "infrastructure revolution" in cross-chain interaction within the Ethereum ecosystem.
This is an important step for the Ethereum ecosystem towards "user experience". In the future, cross-chain transfers will no longer be the privilege of technical players; ordinary users will also be able to "understand and use it correctly".
