An elderly man from the USA was robbed of 3,520 bitcoins worth $330 million through social engineering — one of the largest crypto scams in history. The fraudsters laundered the funds through 300 wallets and 20 exchanges, converting most of it into XMR, which is untraceable. Against this backdrop, the coin's price increased by 50%. Experts believe the recovery of the funds is unlikely.
