The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has closed its investigation regarding the PayPal USD (PYUSD) stablecoin. This is stated in the company's quarterly report.

PayPal introduced its stablecoin in early August 2023. The issuance is conducted by the fintech firm Paxos, which at that time was already under the SEC's scrutiny due to the BUSD asset.
