World officially lands in the US: launches Visa card, partners with Tinder for real identity verification trial
The digital identity verification project World (WLD, formerly known as Worldcoin), co-founded by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, announced today its official entry into the US market, simultaneously releasing multiple application layouts, including launching a Visa card linked to digital asset wallets and trialing verification pairing services with the dating platform Tinder.
US users can receive Worldcoin (WLD) tokens as a participation reward by completing identity verification and creating a 'World ID' digital identity credential.
World will launch verification services in six major cities in the US, including Atlanta, Austin, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville, and San Francisco.
