#AltcoinETFsPostponed The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has postponed its decisions on several altcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) applications, including those for Solana (SOL), XRP, Litecoin (LTC), Dogecoin (DOGE), and Cardano (ADA). These delays extend the review period until at least May 2025 .
Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart described the delays as “standard procedure,” noting that the SEC’s final decision deadlines are not until October. He maintains that the approval odds for these ETFs remain relatively high .
Despite the postponements, the SEC has acknowledged new filings, such as Grayscale’s Hedera (HBAR) ETF and Bitwise’s Dogecoin ETF, indicating ongoing interest and potential future approvals in the altcoin ETF space .
Analysts suggest that the delays are procedural rather than indicative of rejections, and approval prospects for altcoin ETFs in 2025 remain strong .
