#AltcoinETFsPostponed
The U.S. SEC has delayed decisions on several altcoin-based ETFs, including those tied to Solana (SOL), XRP, Dogecoin (DOGE), Litecoin (LTC), and Cardano (ADA). These delays are due to ongoing regulatory uncertainty and the SEC requesting more time for review.
Solana ETFs may not launch until 2026, according to analysts, due to ongoing SEC legal actions.
The XRP ETF application by Franklin Templeton now faces a new review deadline of June 17, 2025.
Decisions for Dogecoin, Litecoin, and Cardano ETFs are also postponed, with deadlines possibly stretching into October 2025 or later.
Despite the delays, experts like Bloomberg’s James Seyffart remain optimistic that approvals could still come in 2025. The SEC continues to express concern over market manipulation and investor protection as it navigates crypto-related financial products.
