Wishing everyone a happy International Workers' Day holiday👪

International Workers' Day originated from the massive labor strike in Chicago, USA.

In the 1880s, American capitalists hired a large number of workers to maximize profits, making them work 12 to 15 hours a day. On May 1, 1886, over 200,000 workers in Chicago held a massive strike, demanding an eight-hour workday. After a hard struggle, the workers ultimately achieved victory.

To commemorate this great labor movement, the Second International, led by Engels, held a congress in Paris in July 1889. The conference passed a resolution to hold international workers' parades on May 1, 1890, and established May 1 as International Workers' Day.

In our country, May 1 was established as a statutory Labor Day in December 1949, with a nationwide holiday. People celebrate Labor Day through various activities to honor the contributions of workers and promote the spirit of labor.
