"There is a president who defends our borders"
Trump considered that he is freeing the United States "from a wicked political class that got rich," "sold" the country, and "bled it dry."
"We will not allow that to happen again. We had four excellent years with the best economy in the history of our country. The stock market rose by 88%; we did very well and now we will do better," he said in reference to his first term in the White House (2017-2021).
After years in which other American leaders "sent their money to defend the borders of distant foreign nations" and the United States fought for other countries and not for itself, "there is finally a president who defends our borders and our nation," emphasized the Republican.
Trump chose Macomb County as the setting, an area where the automotive industry feeds thousands of families and where the three major American automakers (General Motors, Ford, and Stellantis) are present.
Macomb is a very representative setting for President Trump, as in the three elections he has participated in, he has always won by more than 10 points over the Democratic candidates.
