* The SEC is seeking more time for decisions on cryptocurrency ETFs despite Paul Atkins starting his role as chair.

* The commission stated in the document: "The committee finds it appropriate to set a longer period for action on the proposed rule changes so that it has sufficient time to consider the proposed rule changes and the issues raised therein."

* The agency added: "The forty-fifth day after the publication of the notice regarding this proposed rule change is April 26, 2025. The committee is extending this 45-day timeframe."
