Airdrop Safety Guide: Protect Your Crypto from Scams

Airdrops can be a great way to earn free crypto—but they also attract scammers. Here’s how to stay safe:

1. Verify the Source

Only trust airdrops from official project websites or social media. Double-check URLs and announcements.

2. Never Share Private Keys

Legit airdrops will NEVER ask for your private keys or wallet seed phrases. If they do, it’s a scam.

3. Use a Separate Wallet

Create a new wallet just for claiming airdrops. This limits exposure if the airdrop is malicious.

4. Watch for Phishing Links

Scammers mimic real sites. Always access airdrop pages manually or through trusted sources—don’t click suspicious links.

5. Don’t Pay to Receive Airdrops

You shouldn’t have to send crypto to receive crypto. If asked to pay up front, walk away.

Stay sharp. Stay safe. Free doesn’t mean risk-free.
