CoinVoice has learned that according to Immunefi's report, crypto hacking incidents in April 2025 caused losses of 92 million dollars to DeFi platforms, a 124% increase from 41 million dollars in March. Among them, the open-source platform UPCX faced an attack exceeding 70 million dollars, making it the largest incident of the month; KiloEx suffered a loss of 7.5 million dollars from a hacker attack, after which the hacker returned all the funds.
The report pointed out that all attacks in April targeted DeFi platforms, with centralized exchanges reporting no security incidents. By the end of April, the cumulative losses from crypto hacking attacks in 2025 had reached 1.7 billion dollars, exceeding the total of 1.49 billion dollars for the entire year of 2024.
Mitchell Amador, founder of Immunefi, stated that state-sponsored hacker organizations pose a major threat and recommended that protocols adopt a 'zero trust' architecture to strengthen security defenses. [Original link]
