The "TSMC" company begins construction of its third factory in Arizona to expand its presence in the United States 🇺🇸

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) has started building its third chip factory in Arizona, in a move to accelerate its expansion in the United States, at a time when the Trump administration threatens to impose additional tariffs to encourage domestic manufacturing.

The company, the largest advanced chip manufacturer in the world, announced the third phase of its expansion in the United States on the same day that Commerce Secretary Howard L. T. N. Y. K. toured the company's site, which he described as the largest single foreign investment in U.S. history.

"Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing" is the primary supplier for both "Apple" and "Nvidia," and is a cornerstone in the U.S. government's efforts to bring manufacturing back to the country.

Bloomberg reported that L. T. N. Y. K. hinted that he might withhold the granting of the promised "Chips Act" unless eligible companies significantly expand their projects within the United States.
