Donald Trump's second son Eric Trump announced that they will accept cryptocurrencies in housing sales as part of a $1 billion mega project to be implemented in Dubai.
Eric Trump, Vice President of the Trump Organization, announced that they have launched the Trump International Hotel and Tower project in Dubai together with the London Stock Exchange-listed Dar Global. This mega project, valued at a total of $1 billion, will feature a hotel bearing the Trump brand, luxury residences, and a private club building. The project will rise in the heart of Dubai, in the Downtown area, along Sheikh Zayed Road and is expected to be completed within five years.
The price of two ultra-luxury penthouse apartments included in the project has been set at 75 million dirhams ($20.4 million). Prices for three and four-bedroom apartments will range from approximately 4 to 5 million dirhams. Eric Trump emphasized that they will accept Bitcoin (BTC) and other cryptocurrencies in the sale of these luxury apartments.
Dubai's rising star
Eric Trump stated that Dubai is one of the most attractive destinations in the global real estate market, emphasizing that the region has attracted the attention of international investors as a safe haven. Trump expressed his belief that investments in Dubai will continue to increase unabated and that the real estate market will maintain its upward trend in the upcoming period.
The Dubai government has recently provided strong support to the real estate market with incentives such as residence permits for retirees and remote workers, and a 10-year golden visa. According to Knight Frank reports, a total of 111 properties valued at over $10 million were sold in Dubai in the first quarter of 2025, reaching a total value of $1.9 billion.
Eric Trump mentioned that real estate and cryptocurrency are mutually supportive investment vehicles, and that the combination of the two worlds excites him. The Trump Organization states that it will continue its new projects aimed at the region in the future.
