#AirdropSafetyGuide How not to lose everything while hunting for free tokens
Airdrops are a great way to get cryptocurrency without investments, but with that comes an increase in fraudulent schemes. To avoid becoming a victim of scammers, follow these simple rules:
1. Never enter your seed phrase or private key
No legitimate airdrop will ask you to 'confirm' your wallet in this way.
2. Avoid websites with suspicious URLs
Always check official links from trusted sources: CoinMarketCap, CoinGecko, Binance Feed, official accounts on X or Discord.
3. Do not pay a 'unlocking fee'
Real airdrops do not require prepayments.
4. Create a separate wallet for participating in airdrops
This reduces risks if you accidentally interact with a malicious smart contract.
5. Turn off automatic transaction confirmations
Always read what you are signing — especially in WalletConnect or Metamask.
Be active but not naive. Airdrop can be profitable — or dangerous if you lose vigilance.
