A 45-year-old Indian man, Rajesh Mullankil Vellilapullithodi, won nearly Rs 35 crore in a lottery held in Abu Dhabi, marking a significant change in his financial circumstances. Originally from Kerala, India, Rajesh had been living in Oman for 33 years, working as a technician. He regularly participated in the lottery and entered the latest Big Ticket raffle draw online on March 31.
His perseverance paid off when he won 15 million Dirham, equivalent to approximately Rs 34.88 crore. Rajesh expressed his overwhelming emotions upon receiving the winning call, stating he was both happy and shocked, especially since he had not anticipated winning. Although he has not made any concrete plans for the future, he mentioned his intention to share his newfound wealth with friends.
