According to BlockBeats, U.S. President Donald Trump has signed a proclamation allowing compensation for auto manufacturers assembling vehicles in the United States. This move aims to alleviate some of the financial burdens imposed by tariffs on imported auto parts. The decision reflects ongoing opposition to the government's tariff policies, which have been under increasing pressure from various sectors.

The compensation is designed to offset a portion of the tariffs on auto parts assembled in the U.S., with a maximum reimbursement of up to 3.75% of the vehicle's retail price. This cap is set to decrease to 2.5% in the following year.

Previously, Trump announced a 25% tariff on imported automobiles, which took effect on April 3. Additionally, a 25% tariff on key auto parts is scheduled to be implemented on May 3.
