#ArizonaBTCReserve Eita, Arizona! The state is about to make history and become the first in the U.S. to set up a strategic Bitcoin reserve. The Chamber approved projects SB1025 and SB1373, which allow investing up to 10% of public funds in BTC and other digital assets. Now, all that's left is the signature of Governor Katie Hobbs.
If it happens, Arizona could allocate up to US$ 3.15 billion in crypto, with a separate fund to hold the BTCs — including those seized in operations. Everything will have on-chain auditing and risk control.
But not everything is settled yet. The governor is threatening to veto everything until a deadlock in the budget is resolved.
Still, the movement is strong. Other states, like New Hampshire, are already eyeing similar initiatives.
If Arizona becomes an official hodler, it could be the beginning of a new era. Stay tuned!
