1. False Traffic Diversion Tricks
Criminals use new or fake accounts to disguise themselves as 'investment experts' or 'insider information providers,' posting high-yield promises through short video platforms, social software, and other channels, using phrases like 'easily make big money' and 'zero risk to win' to attract attention, which actually lays the groundwork for subsequent scams.
2. 'Fighting Fraud' Turns into 'Pig Killing Plate'
Some accounts use 'exposing investment scams' and 'fighting against black-hearted platforms' as a gimmick to gain trust, and after accumulating followers, transform into 'investment mentors,' misleading users into high-risk investments, ultimately leading to user losses through 'forced liquidation' and profiting from their funds.
3. Exaggerated Promotion and Temptation
Scammers claiming to be 'the first trader' or 'gods' package themselves through slogans and jokes, boasting about their investment records, exploiting the public's desire for wealth to lure users into following their investments, which is actually a scheme to defraud funds or recommend unregulated platforms.
4. Code Word Violation for Traffic Diversion
Using homophones and obscure vocabulary (like 'bring someone to earn xxxx') to evade platform scrutiny, privately guiding users to add contact information or enter specific groups to create conditions for the next steps of fraud.
5. Forged Profit Screenshots
Using Photoshop tools to forge investment profits and transaction screenshots, creating the illusion of 'guaranteed profits' to lure users into following their investments. Once users engage, the scammer absconds with the funds.
6. Group Chat Betting Scam
Users are pulled into different groups, where they separately issue 'long' or 'short' instructions. Regardless of market fluctuations, users who make money must pay 20%-40% of their earnings to the scammer; if users incur losses, the scammer will directly disband the group chat or use 'market volatility' as an excuse to evade responsibility, and then continue to divert new targets.
There are also cases of losses for diners, pulling people into other platforms without stop-loss measures.
Fraud Prevention Reminder:
Any investment information that promises 'guaranteed profits' or 'high returns with low risk' carries significant risks. Do not blindly trust investment advice from strangers and ensure participation in financial activities through legitimate channels.
