Credit Suisse’s Global Wealth Report says that anyone holding just $4,210 in net assets sits above the global median of wealth.

The same study puts the cut-off for the world’s top 10 percent at about $93,170 and the entry ticket to the 1% at roughly $871,320, with that sliver of people controlling close to half of all household wealth.

After slight recent dips, the richest 1% still hold roughly 45-47% of global wealth, so even a few thousand dollars puts you in surprisingly select company.
