📚 Additional Futures Strategies for Intermediate Beginners
1. Trend Following - Trade with the Trend
Objective: Follow the main direction of the market, do not go against large cash flow.
Example:
If BTC is in a clear uptrend (Higher High - Higher Low), only look for Long, avoid Short against the trend.
🔹 Key: Be patient and wait for the price to retrace to the EMA20/EMA50 (moving averages) before buying in line with the trend.
2. Pullback Trading - Buy on Corrections
Objective: Do not buy at the peak, but wait for the market to have a slight correction before entering a trade.
Example:
BTC breaks up to 66,000 → Corrects to the support area of 65,200 → You Long at that support.
🔹 Key: Distinguish that a pullback is temporary, not a trend reversal.
3. Reversal Trading - Catch Trend Reversals
Objective: Catch the reversal point of a downtrend to an uptrend (or vice versa).
Example:
ETH sharply declines to the strong support zone of 2,800 + a Hammer candlestick appears → Enter Long against the trend.
🔹 Key: Requires experience, confirmation signals (candlestick patterns, RSI divergence, etc.), high risk.
4. News Trading - Trade on News
Objective: Ride the strong waves after major economic events (CPI, FED, Bitcoin ETF, etc.).
Example:
CPI published lower than expected → BTC surges → Enter Long immediately after the news.
🔹 Key: Quick reaction, set reasonable stop-loss, prioritize trading with large volume.
