It's not a mistake, you did the right thing. You bet on the rise, not on the fall. Yes, that's part of the experience. One piece of advice is to place the stop near the area of most liquidity.

I lost 52$ today just because of my own mistake 😭😭ETH dropped only to 1758$ my liquidation price was 1750$ but i had set stop loss at 1760$ I should have not done that 🥲😭
