Trump: Reducing tariffs leads to a decrease in income tax
US President Donald Trump said on Sunday that when tariffs are reduced, the income taxes of many will significantly decrease, and may even be completely eliminated.
He continued in a post on Truth Social that the focus will be on those with an annual income of less than $200,000.
The US President added, "As huge numbers of jobs are already being created, new factories are being built or planned. This will be a golden opportunity for America! The foreign tax office is in the works.
Trump urged Republicans in Congress to prepare a bill that includes significant tax cuts.
On another note, Trump revealed that the latest report on illegal immigration shows a decrease of about 99.9% at the US border.
He said this is the best recorded number ever. Three people entered, compared to hundreds of thousands in the previous administration. We have never seen such a difference before. Congratulations to America.
As part of efforts to avoid increases in tariffs, the administration of US President Donald Trump has put in place a framework for managing negotiations with trading partners who are rushing to finalize agreements.
Accordingly, a standardized model addressing common concerns will be used to launch dialogue, and among the areas raised are: tariffs, non-tariff barriers, digital trade, economic security, and business interests.
