In theory, everyone has heard the saying: "Spot trading is safer because you just need to WAIT; you only lose when you sell."

It sounds completely correct ✅ — but in reality, it is NOT THAT SIMPLE.

Harsh Reality

Waiting in despair while your token keeps losing value day by day is a huge psychological pain and financial risk.

Binance has added the Stop-Loss feature for spot trading not by chance. They understand that:

  • Blind waiting can get you stuck in capital for months or even years.

  • Many coins will never recover, especially:

    • Meme coins

    • Hype coins (based on short-term trends)

    • Coins tagged for monitoring on exchanges

    • Coins in a long-term downtrend

Emotional stress will gradually accumulate.

One day, you will break down and sell at the bottom because you are too frustrated and desperate. 😡😡

👉 Anyone who has experienced that feeling will surely understand!

So, how to handle it more wisely?

Don't just buy and pray. Have a clear plan before entering a trade. Here's how:

✔ 1. Set Stop-Loss Zones According to Coin Type

  • If it is top coin (BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, ADA...):

    → Accept a wider stop-loss, about -15% to -20%.

  • If it is high-risk coin (new coin, meme, hype):

    → Set a tighter stop-loss, only -5% to -10%.

✔ 2. Decide BEFORE Entering a Trade

Before hitting the BUY button, identify in advance:

"If the price drops X%, I will CUT MY LOSSES, without hesitation, without blind hope."

Trading based on unrealistic expectations ("what if it recovers?") is the quickest path to significant losses.

✔ 3. Accept Small Losses to Protect Capital

A small loss today is better than holding a large loss for many months.

DON'T BE LIKE ME:

I went all-in on ORCA token and have been stuck for 7 months, with capital "lying dead" without daring to cut. 😞😞😞

Lesson:

Protecting capital is more important than protecting the ego.

Remember

Investing requires not just money — but also a clear mindset.

If you know how to accept small losses, you will be able to trade more comfortably, without being "haunted" by previous stuck positions.

Waiting indefinitely is NOT A STRATEGY — it is just an emotional attachment.
